Small homes have the tendency to become cluttered and messy because there usually isn't enough space to keep things organized. To save up space in a small home, we are going to have to get a little bit creative.
Make use of the walls. Install cupboards and cabinets in them. Remember to build them up not out.
Don't be afraid to use shelves. They can store your books, decor items and paraphernalia without taking any floor space.
Invest in furniture that folds away. There are so many fold up beds, chairs, dining set, and even tables that are just waiting to give your home a little extra space.
Utilize the seldom used corners in your home. Be it under the stairs, or behind a wall or between rooms.
Invest in a pantry, preferably one with all the works. I'm talking shelves, pull out drawers, cabinets and slide out panels. Your kitchen will thank you for it.
Put up a walk by closet to display your best outfits and accessories. This usually comes in handy when your closet space is small and can't hold all your things. You can use a curtain to keep them out of sight when you want to.
Invest in modern furniture that comes with storage spaces within them. They can be a great way to store your things in easy to reach plain sight.
Lastly, use wall lights instead of dangling ones. It gives the illusion of more space and will give your home a modern outlook.
