Duvalay has reached the finals in the Yorkshire category of the Family Business of the Year Awards 2020.
The manufacturer is also on a shortlist of family firms eligible for the People’s Choice Award, which is decided by a public vote.
“Yorkshire is often considered to be at the epicentre of the British bed manufacturing industry,” says Liz Colleran, sales & marketing director at Duvalay. “Having only expanded into this industry in 2015, we are enormously proud to be representing Yorkshire in the finals. This nomination shows we’re travelling in a very exciting direction – developing a business that continues to have local resonance whilst also operating on a global scale.”
Winners will be selected regionally and from a number of industry sectors.
“I am very proud of what my family and our staff have achieved in the bedmaking industry these past five years,” adds Liz. “We are still relative newcomers, and yet we have won manufacturing recognition at the Bed Industry Awards, released three hugely successful bed collections, and are now exporting to the Far East.
