HOG Presence At The Lifemate Dealers Conference 2022

HOG Furniture representatives at the Lifemate Dealers Conference 2022 networking with furniture dealers and industry partners.

It was a resourceful moment, and of course, with so much fun, as one of the best foreign furniture companies resident in the country held its annual event at one of its biggest facilities, housing a showroom and unarguably one of the biggest factories one can ever find in the country, which is situated at Mowe, Ogun State.

The Lifemate Group, which was founded in the year 2002 with the intent of redefining the sector with the best furniture products that the country can ever boast of, and by extension to the rest of the countries within the sub-Saharan region and beyond with over 3,000 workers who have brought about immense contributions to the image of the company over the years.

Upon the HOG team’s arrival at the venue, and after a proper security check of the gigantic premises, we were met with high-profile businessmen and women who came from different parts of the country. No one needed to be told which direction to ply, as the aesthetic of the building, whose façade was beautifully decorated, depicts what the attendees would be expecting, as these dealers walked towards an usher’s stand where they all acknowledged their presence.

Hence, the beginning of a composite event of exhibition and a dinner night.

We started with a tour around the facility from production, operation, to the procurement department, which lasted for 30 minutes and was really an exposé bringing to our consciousness how huge China’s direct investment is in Nigeria.

This tour reinforced the company’s vision of becoming world class multi-national which has been providing customers with high-quality products. The company, for years, has proven its capability, professionalism, and technical know-how with massive capital investment in production machines of world standards, as production is done from scratch to finish through the hands of skilled workers, aiding the ever-demanding market of Africa’s largest economy with new innovative designs of Home, Office, and Garden furniture, hence frustrating the culture of importation to a reasonable level.

With the exception of wood that’s sourced locally owing to Nigeria’s large timber industry coming from states like Ondo, Cross-River, Ogun, and Delta State, the beauty of these efforts would have been more beneficial to the Nigerian economy than what it is if a reasonable percentage of materials used in the production process are sourced in the country. The question now is, can Nigeria afford to forgo the opportunity to create wealth in leather production, which can attract these investors? Time can only tell.

No doubt the attendance was so encouraging as we all moved back to the main hall for refreshment while the company took time to share with us the company’s past and present achievements so far amidst an entertaining atmosphere with a sumptuous dinner as everybody unwound.

At this time, it was a mixture of high sounds of music piercing through the speakers as those who were lovers of Afro-pop music could not resist the urge to dance as the hormones became activated.

And lastly, the event was wrapped up with a raffle draw where dealers who participated had to shop for Lifemate’s new products to win millions in vouchers. Some who purchased multiple products had greater chances as they smiled home with their prizes.
